Korea/Australia Free Trade Agreement

In April 2008 the Australian Government release the Feasibility Study into a Free Trade Agreement between Australia and the Republic of Korea. The Study proclaimed that an agreement between the two countries would boost their respective GDPs by US$22.7 billion and US$29.6 billion in the period 2007 - 2020.

In October 2008 scoping talks will begin between the two countries with the aim to commence negotiations for an FTA.
